From 8 to 10 October 2026, the Civil Protection branch of the Associazione Nazionale Alpini will take part in REAS, the international emergency exhibition hosted by the Montichiari Exhibition Centre in the province of Brescia. Over three days, volunteers, institutions, companies and emergency professionals will meet to discuss equipment, expertise and the organisation of rescue operations.
ANA Civil Protection in Hall 6
According to the official ANA announcement, the Alpini Civil Protection organisation will be in Hall 6 with its specialist units. Visitors will be able to learn more about the work carried out by volunteers and the training needed to respond in a coordinated and safe manner.
Specialist units and a space for the ANA youth camps
Part of the stand will be dedicated to the ANA youth camps. These initiatives introduce young people to Civil Protection activities, responsibility, teamwork and service to the community.
This connection is particularly relevant to the Alpini Group of Salce. In 2026, the group’s website reported on the ANA youth camp in Feltre (article in Italian), a practical opportunity for younger generations to discover Alpini volunteering. The presence at REAS places that local experience within a wider national network.
REAS: twenty-five years dedicated to emergency response
REAS celebrates its twenty-fifth edition in 2026. The exhibition covers firefighting, first aid and aids for people with disabilities, workplace safety and civil protection.
For the first time, the 2026 edition will run from Thursday to Saturday, with no Sunday opening. REAS is more than an exhibition of vehicles and equipment: it creates opportunities for volunteers, institutions, professionals and businesses involved in emergency response to exchange knowledge and experience.

Dates, opening hours and address
REAS 2026 runs from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 October, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm each day. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday 8 October at 11:00 am in the foyer of the main entrance.
The venue is Centro Fiera Montichiari, Via Brescia 129, 25018 Montichiari, in the province of Brescia. ANA Civil Protection will be in Hall 6.
Free pass, minors and access for people with disabilities
Admission is free, but online registration is compulsory. The personal pass allows one entry per day on each of the three days and can be shown on a smartphone.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult and will receive a dedicated pass at the information point. Admission for people with disabilities is free following online registration; the rules for minors apply to children and young people with disabilities. Visitors with specific requirements should contact the organiser directly before travelling.
Why it matters to the Alpini Group of Salce
ANA Civil Protection is one of the clearest expressions of the Alpini tradition of serving the community, as shown by the Belluno Alpini after the 2016 Central Italy earthquake. Its presence at REAS is an opportunity to explain not only vehicles and technical skills, but also training, discipline, cooperation and engagement with young people.
The Alpini Group of Salce is not listed as an official participant, and no presence at Montichiari is attributed to the group. Nevertheless, the event provides a useful view of how a national volunteer organisation supports local units involved in prevention, training and emergency response.
