For generations of Alpini, the barracks was much more than a military building. It was the place of the first day of national service, of the dormitories, the musters, the exercises and guard duties, and of friendships that began there and lasted a lifetime.
With “Our Alpine Barracks” the Salce Alpini Group wants to gather and preserve this memory: documents, photographs, articles from the Col Maòr and testimonies from those who served there. Because a barracks is not just a building: it is a place of memory, of service, of units and of generations of Alpini.
